Safety Critical Components
In the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) context, particularly under the IECEE a "safety-critical component" refers to any component whose failure could compromise the safety of a product or system.
The failure of such components could lead to hazardous situations, including electric shock, fire, injury, or other severe risks to users or equipment.
